Arriving on campus in 1988 as a student-athlete after completing his first degree at Concordia University, Eric played four years of football while working on his second degree - a Bachelor of Physical Education.
Retiring from playing university football in 1992, Eric turned his focus on coaching and was an assistant football coach under then Head Coach Sonny Wolfe for tens seasons.
In 1995, Eric was hired by Acadia's Department of Athletics and Recreation as a Coordinator of Athletic Services. At the time, the position included management of the Athletics Service Desk and coordinating events and operations.
In 2000, Eric took on the duties as Acadia's Sports Information Officer and since then has become the Manager of Communications and Events. His responsibilities include Athletics programming duties, communications - website, social media, webcasting, print material and assisting in the marketing of Acadia Athletics. Along with these duties, Eric also manages Athletic events with several other key Athletic Department staff members.
In 2017, Eric became focused on Communications and Programming. Communications - social media, website and print material, while his programming element involves AUS and U SPORTS pertaining to Acadia's 10 varsity sports.
Eric recently was awarded the Acadia Alumni Award for Service in the spring of 2019 for his 24 years+ of service.
Eric lives in Wofville with his wife Renata Verri along with two boys, Luca (12) and Elliot (15).
