The Axemen hockey team split their two games this past weekend with a win over Dalhousie and a loss to STFX. First-year forward Corson Howpo not only scored his first goal of the season versus Dalhousie, but he decided to score his second in the next game against STFX. From Duncan, B.C., Hopwo scored Acadia’s second goal in a 5-2 win over Dalhousie on Friday night. Hopwo repeated on Saturday with a powerplay goal in the third period to bring the Axemen to within a goal to tie the game versus the STFX X-Men.
