Grant and Delorey named Acadia athletes of the week

Robbie Grant (men’s basketball) and Sarah Delorey (women’s basketball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending Jan. 25 following strong performances in AUS competition.

Grant, a third-year business administration student from Halifax, N.S., scored 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting in a three-point loss to first-place STFX. He added three assists, two steals and one rebound in the tightly contested matchup.

Delorey, a fifth-year independent studies student from Elmsdale, N.S., recorded a double-double in Acadia’s 69-67 win over STFX, scoring 17 points on 4-for-7 shooting while going 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. She also pulled down 13 rebounds and added three blocks in the victory.

The Acadia athletes of the week are presented by McDonald’s.
