Football's Guenard and Kelly named AUS Football POW
HALIFAX, N.S. - Congratulations to football's Hunter Guenard and Rory Kelly were grabbed the honours this week as the AUS Football Offensive and Defensive Players of the week respectively. Both will be nominated for the National Awards this week.

Acadia Axemen quarterback Hunter Guenard is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 16, 2018.
A third-year arts student from Calgary, Guenard threw 24 completions on 27 attempts for 327 yards and a touchdown in Acadia's 38-26 win over Mount Allison Saturday in Wolfville, N.S.
He currently sits first in the AUS conference in passing yards per game, averaging 244.0.
Defensive Player of the Week

Height and weight: 6'2", 192 lbs
Acadia Axemen defensive back Rory Kelly has been named the AUS football defensive player of the week.
A fourth-year business student in his third year of eligibility from Moncton, N.B., Kelly had a key interception in Saturday's game which he returned 68 yards for a touchdown, to secure Acadia's win.
His defensive stats also included two solo tackles, one assisted tackle and a pass breakup.

Position: Kicker/Punter
Hometown: Cambridge, Ont.

Height and weight: 6'2", 185 lbs
St. Francis Xavier punter and kicker Keiran Burnham is the AUS football special teams player of the week for the week ending Sept. 16, 2018.
A third-year arts student from Cambridge, Ont., Burnham continued his strong kicking game in StFX's 42-2 win over Bishop's Saturday, scoring 14 points on four point-after kicks, one rouge and three field goals.
He booted field goals from 12, 29 and 30 yards. His seven punts in the game totaled 310 yards for a 44.3 average and he had two punts downed inside the 20.
His six kickoffs totaled 339 yards for a 56.6 average. Burnham currently leads the AUS with a punting average of 42.
