Ross joins Axemen receiver core for 2025
Madden Ross, a wide receiver from Timberlea, N.S., has committed to the Acadia Axemen football program for the upcoming season.
Standing 6’4, Ross has excelled on the field, earning accolades throughout his football career. A graduate of Bay View High School, Ross helped the Sharks achieve a 5-1-1 record, championship and was named a league all-star. He also competed with the Timberlea Titans in the Nova Scotia Youth Football League, where he was a three-time offensive MVP and overall team MVP.
Ross has showcased his talents on the national and international stages as well. He was part of the Nova Scotia flag football team that won the Youth National Championship in 2024 and represented Canada at the Flage Football Junior World Championships, where the team secured a second-place finish.
“Playing university football is something I’ve always known I wanted to do since I first started playing football at seven,” Ross said. “When I started talking to Acadia, I knew it was the perfect place for me. I’m grateful for the opportunity Acadia has given me to play for them these coming years while I chase my education.”
Ross will pursue a degree in kinesiology at Acadia.
