Axemen add offensive lineman Gavin Schindler to roster
Six-foot, 265-pound lineman adds depth to Axemen front
The Acadia Axemen football program has added depth to its offensive line with the commitment of Ottawa native Gavin Schindler for the upcoming Atlantic University Sport season.
Schindler, a 6'0, 265-pound interior offensive lineman, joins the Axemen after developing at Colonel By Secondary School in Ottawa. He plans to study history and classical studies at Acadia.
Schindler played two seasons with the Colonel By Cougars in the Ottawa high school football system. During that time, he gained valuable experience along the offensive line, contributing to the team’s development in back-to-back seasons.
He was also recognized for his leadership within the program, serving as a team captain during his high school career.
Schindler brings size and physicality to the Axemen offensive front, along with a commitment to continued development at the next level.
He said the opportunity to join Acadia reflects his approach to both football and personal growth.
“You’ve got to learn to love the process,” he said.
Schindler’s addition provides the Axemen with another developing lineman as the program continues to build depth and competition along the offensive line heading into future AUS seasons.
