Axemen add Alberta all-star kicker Jude Carson
CSFA all-star brings championship experience to Wolfville
The Acadia Axemen football program has added a proven special teams performer with the commitment of Calgary native Jude Carson for the upcoming Atlantic University Sport season.
Carson, a 5'11 place kicker who weighs 175 pounds, will join the Axemen after a successful high school and club career in Alberta. He plans to study biology at Acadia.
Carson most recently played with the Calgary Wildcats in the Calgary Senior Football Association (CSFA), where he helped the team capture the city championship. He was named the league’s all-star kicker in 2025 and played a key role in the championship game, accounting for 11 of his team’s 26 points in the victory.
Prior to his time with the Wildcats, Carson competed with Ernest Manning High School in Calgary. During his senior season, he helped lead the team to the 2025 Alberta Bowl provincial championship along with the Division 1 Calgary city title.
His consistent performances earned him recognition as a 2025 CSFA all-star, highlighting his reliability and accuracy as a specialist.
Carson said the opportunity to join the Axemen program is an exciting step forward in both his academic and athletic journey.
“I’m proud to commit to Acadia,” Carson said. “I’m coming in ready to compete and help bring wins to Wolfville.”
The addition of Carson strengthens Acadia’s special teams unit as the program continues to build depth heading into future AUS seasons.
