Axemen secures commitment from dynamic receiver Noah Lowther
Six-foot-two playmaker from Drumheller adds depth and athleticism to Axemen roster
The Axemen football program has added size and versatility to its offence with the commitment of receiver Noah Lowther of Drumheller, Alta., for the 2026 season.
Lowther, listed at six-foot-two and 195 pounds, has developed into a dynamic offensive threat through his time with the Drumheller Titans and the Airdrie Raiders. He will graduate from Drumheller Valley Secondary School in 2026 before joining Acadia, where he plans to study history.
Over three seasons with the Titans from 2023 to 2025, Lowther helped his team compile a 14-11 record while earning multiple individual honours. He was named Most Dedicated in 2023, Most Improved in 2024, and earned league all-star recognition in both 2024 and 2025. In his final season, he was also named team MVP while being recognized for his leadership.
One of Lowther’s standout performances came in 2025 when he rushed for more than 1,000 yards over a five-game stretch, highlighting his ability to impact games in multiple ways. He was also part of the Titans squad that captured the South Zone championship in 2023.
In spring football, Lowther suited up for the Airdrie Raiders in 2024, helping the team post an undefeated 8-0 record and capture the Calgary spring football championship.
His individual accolades extend beyond team play. Lowther was named the Raw Central Alberta Offensive MVP in 2024 and participated in several elite development events, including the CFC Prospect Game in 2025, the RAW Elite Camp in 2024, and the U16 Alberta Summer Games in 2023.
“This commitment means a great deal to me and my journey throughout football,” said Lowther. “I am grateful to take my talents to a prestigious university. I am extremely excited to start this chapter of my life and get to work.”
Lowther’s combination of size, athleticism, and production adds another promising piece to the Axemen’s recruiting class as the program continues to build toward the future.
