Axemen football confirms coordinators for 2026 season

The Acadia Axemen football program has confirmed the return of three coordinators to head coach Jeff Cummins’ staff for the 2026 Atlantic University Sport season.

Peter Fraser returns as assistant head coach - special teams coordinator and linebackers coach, while Chris Coulson is back as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Brandon Dubs returns as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.

The continuity across the coaching staff provides strength for a program that has already added more than 30 recruits ahead of the 2026 season.

The department also recognizes Friends of Acadia Football (FOAF) for its continued support of the program. Donations from FOAF have helped fund these coaching positions and play a key role in strengthening the football experience for student-athletes.

“A huge thank you to FOAF, and their leadership group, for their incredible dedication to Acadia football,” said Cummins. “We truly appreciate all the time, energy and passion they devote into making our team successful.”

Acadia will open its preseason schedule at home on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Axemen will play their regular season home opener on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.
