Hollett brings scoring touch to Acadia attack
Canada Games participant strengthens Axemen frontline
The Acadia Axemen soccer program has added attacking talent with the commitment of Dartmouth, N.S., native Lennon Hollett for the upcoming Atlantic University Sport season.
Hollett, a 5'11 winger, joins the Axemen after a strong youth and high school career in Nova Scotia. He plans to study business administration at Acadia.
An attack-minded player, Hollett brings pace, creativity and a willingness to take on defenders in one-on-one situations. He has consistently produced offensively throughout his development, including leading Dartmouth High School in scoring during both the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He finished his high school career with 21 goals over three seasons and was named team MVP in 2024 while serving as team captain in 2025.
Hollett has also gained experience at the provincial level. He represented Team Nova Scotia at the 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s, N.L., helping the team to a fourth-place finish. Earlier that year, he was part of the Nova Scotia squad that captured the Atlantic championship.
At the club level, Hollett developed with United Dartmouth Football Club, where he was a team captain at the U15 AAA level and led the team in scoring. More recently, he earned selection to the Halifax Wanderers U18 squad, continuing to compete against top-level competition in the province.
Axemen head coach Matt Holton said Hollett’s attacking qualities will add another dimension to the team.
“We’re thrilled to have Lennon join the Axemen program for the 2026 season,” said Holton. “He’s an exciting, attack-minded player who always wants to get on the ball and take on defenders, and I can’t wait to see him wearing the Acadia red at Raymond Field.”
Hollett said joining the Axemen is the realization of a long-term goal.
“Committing to Acadia means achieving a lifelong goal of mine to play soccer at the collegiate level,” he said. “I am very excited to get on the field and contribute toward a winning culture.”
