ANTIGONISH, N.S. — The Acadia Axewomen earned a 1–1 draw with St. Francis Xavier on Sunday in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer at STFX Stadium.
Riley Bonadie opened the scoring in the 11th minute, finishing unassisted to give Acadia a 1–0 lead. STFX equalized in the 51st minute when Ava Elgood converted a pass from Aidan Miller.
Acadia created the better of the chances, outshooting the X-Women 14–10 and forcing nine saves from goalkeeper Sarah Bach. Rachel Kibble registered four shots on target, while Emma Matheson and Bonadie each threatened late. At the other end, Milena Ramirez made three saves, including a stoppage-time stop on Zoe Power, to preserve the point.
Set pieces tilted to Acadia, 3–2 in corners. STFX held a 10–8 edge in fouls. Cautions went to Acadia's Madyson Harris (4'), Sacha Clark (27') and Leah Adams (62'). Announced attendance was 207.
