WOLFVILLE, N.S. — The Acadia Axewomen outshot Cape Breton but fell 2–0 in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer on Friday at Raymond Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Capers struck in the 57th minute when Grace Hannaford finished from Madalyn Hatfield. Audrey Roy added an insurance marker in the 84th minute. Cape Breton's Mia Hamilton received a yellow card in the 59th minute.
Acadia generated sustained pressure, recording 19 shots to Cape Breton's 10 and forcing nine saves from goalkeeper Ellie Lancaster. Jenna Turner, Riley Bonadie, Rachel Kibble and Taylor Kay each tested the keeper, while Kibble's service produced a 7–9 deficit in corner kicks. Milena Ramirez made two saves for Acadia. Attendance was 267.
