Axewomen place fifth at Dalhousie Open
Le Rudulier leads Acadia in women’s race at Point Pleasant Park
The Acadia Axewomen placed fifth in the team standings at the Dalhousie Open cross country meet Saturday at Point Pleasant Park.
Anne-Sophie Le Rudulier led the way for Acadia, finishing 25th overall in 33:11. She was followed by Clementine MacLeod, who placed 30th in 33:24.
Paris Buchanan crossed in 33:49 for 33rd place, just ahead of Grace Earle, who finished 34th in 33:50. Maggie Graves rounded out Acadia's scoring five, placing 45th in 35:36.
Two more Axewomen contributed strong races. Ava Joseph placed 47th in 36:09, while Evelyn Tobin was 48th in 38:08
As a team, Acadia scored 120 points to secure fifth place. Memorial won the meet with 36 points, paced by individual champion Grace Mack, who crossed the line in 30:43. Dalhousie finished second with 43 points, while UPEI (76) and St. Francis Xavier (78) rounded out the top four
The Axewomen will look to build on the result in their next outing in Moncton on October 4, which is followed by hosting the AUS championship on October 25 at Hennigar's Farm.
