Antigonish, NS – The StFX X-Women claimed the 2019 AUS rugby banner with a 29-17 victory over the Acadia Axewomen in a hard-fought battle in front of over 350 fans at StFX Stadium on a wet Saturday afternoon.
The Axewomen rugby team will be heading to Ottawa this week to participate in the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship as the second of two teams from the AUS. The AUS Finalist Axewomen received a No. 7 seeding and will be matched up against the OUA Champion Queen's Gaels on Wednesday evening.
