WOLFVILLE, N.S. — Acadia beat Dalhousie 7–4 on Friday at Stu Aberdeen Court. The Axemen and Tigers were tied 3–3 after the first period. Acadia took a 4–3 lead late in the second, then added three in the third to secure the win.
Liam Kidney scored on the power play and added an assist. He was named the game's first star. Justin DeZoete had a goal and an assist. Brady Burns scored twice in the third period, including a shorthanded goal at 10:44. Bailey Peach, Keagan Slaney and Ethan Ernst also scored.
Acadia outshot Dalhousie 47–34. The Axemen went 1-for-4 on the power play and scored once shorthanded. Dalhousie finished 2-for-4 with the man advantage.
Goaltender Brayden Peters made 30 saves for Acadia. Dalhousie's Robbie Forbes stopped 40 shots. Attendance was 1,038.
